Kiwi's Sacrifice

This was the story that was told at a meeting that celebrated a sister missionary's service mission. The missionary was like the Kiwi, she sacrificed her daily life in order to help other people.

Potential Project for Easter Animation

This is an adaptation of a story that is in the Latter-day Saint Voices section of the July 2011 Ensign called When I Meet My Brother Again

WARM AFTERNOON
A grade school aged girl skips home from school wearing her uniform, with some friends.

INTERIOR MEXICAN HOUSE
As she enters her home her mother carefully feeds her younger brother who cannot move or speak. With enthusiastic gestures the girl tells her brother the fun things that she did in school that day. The girl then helps her mother and her mother leaves to do other house work.

NIGHTTIME EXTERIOR
The family celebrates Christmas by breaking Pinatas, and the girl picks up some peanuts, mandarines, and animal crackers and shares some with her brother

SUNNY DAY
We see the family go swimming, and the girl dips her feet in the clear water along side the feet of her younger brother

SUNSET INTERIOR MEXICAN HOUSE
The children are older and everyone is singing a Church song and reading the Bible for Family Night

MORNING OUTSIDE SCHOOLYARD
The girl has a formal dress on and has graduated from middle school and her family is there to celebrate

NIGHTTIME INTERIOR HOUSE
The girl kisses her brother goodnight. He coughs. She stands by the doorway and tenderly looks back at her brother. Beside her bed she prays

COLD WINTER AFTERNOON CEMETERY
The girl and mom and dad stand solemnly near a tombstone that is surrounded by typical golden, purple and burgundy colored flowers

INTERIOR MEXICAN HOUSE NIGHT TIME
The girl looks into her brother's neatly tended, where a picture of him and her is seen on the night stand. Next to the picture is a whithered flower. CLOSE UP of the girl's face. She lays down in her own bed and slowly closes her eyes and falls asleep.

BRIGHT CLOUDY DAY IN THE MOUNTAINS
The girl is walking in a blurry mysterious mountain. In the distance she sees something and as she walks closer sees that it is a wagon filled with bright beautiful flowers. Then a young man walks beside the wagon, dressed in white, smiling. The girl pauses a moment, then recognizes that it is her BROTHER. Her speaks to her and She embraces him. They laugh. Flower petals fly past the camera and transition to...

INTERIOR MEXICAN HOUSE MORNING
Close up of the girl's face. Her eyes open, and she gets up out of bed. In her brother's bed room we see the picture of her and her brother. Next to it we see an image of the Resurrection of Jesus, and beside that the withered flower that was there is gone and in its place is a fresh beautiful flower. Then we see the words:

“The spirit and the body shall be reunited again in its perfect form..."
